Wendel: The man, the moustache

Saturday night was Wendel Clark night at the ACC, where they raised his jersey to the rafters.
This good old boy and his handlebars are an inspiration to the Great Canadian Moosestaches because he played hockey the same way we grow our facial hair: with passion.

Wendel says, "To all my little Moostachamaniacs, say your prayers, take your vitamins, believe in yourself, and you will never go wrong."

Watcha gonna do when Wendel comes for you???

You can see a tribute to Wendel here:

Donate to your moosetache today!

Don't forget that even though it is fun to laugh at us we are doing this for a reason. We need your donations! Click on your favourite mo' and make a donation!

The first complete moose gathering

Finally we did it! We managed to get us all together in one spot. On Tuesday evening we all met at Scalliwags restaurant and bar in Toronto for dinner.

A special thanks to Scalliwags for sponsoring us. We had a great meal and a great time.

We convinced Stephen it was a good idea to eat all the fat left from his steak and raise money in the process. Our waitress Tory even put in $5 to see him do it! We haven't heard from him since.

Mustache Mo-Tivation

All of us Moosetaches have many reasons to be passionate about participating in Movember 2008: fathers, brothers, sons, Tom Selleck, friends, and even dudes we don't know (but would probably like if we did). For myself personally, this opportunity to draw attention to a serious men's health issue with a low-impact physical activity at which I excel meant it was time to pick up the razor and get to work. While our individual motivators may differ, you can be sure that each Moosetache team member will rise every morning this month to grow the best damn 'Mo they can.

Sunday morning breakfast

The boys got together this morning to discuss strategy over coffee and great Irish breakfasts at the Foggy Dew on King West. The starter mo's are coming along nicely; I think that Matt T. has the most established mo' at this point.

I'm sure that captain Mark will post a group picture soon so you can see the results from week 1!

Hold onto your Mo Andy here it is...

The Great Canadian Moosetaches

Welcome to the home blog of the Great Canadian Moosetaches. We are a bunch of Canadian boys gro'ing our mo's to help find a cure for prostate cancer.

Movember is a month world wide where men (and optimistic women) gro' a mo' to raise funds for prostate cancer research. More infomation can be found at http://www.movember.com.

There are 8 on our team and so without futher ramblings here we are:

These are all taken Movember 1st and we are definitely NO MO BROS!
